THE CENTRAL AIM OF OUR CLIMATE STRATEGY IS TO CREATE A PORTFOLIO OF RENOVATED BUILDINGS THAT ARE RESOURCE-EFFICIENT, LOW-EMISSION AND AT THE SAME TIME INNOVATIVE.

In addi­tion to ener­gy-effi­cient tech­nol­o­gy, we rely on old build­ing struc­tures that are rel­a­tive­ly easy to mod­i­fy and can adjust to both present and future cli­mat­ic and user-spe­cif­ic con­di­tions and require­ments. We are in com­pli­ance with all envi­ron­men­tal stan­dards and all oth­er covenants, con­di­tions, restric­tions under Greek Law in rela­tion to any con­t­a­m­i­na­tion, pol­lu­tion, degra­da­tion or waste or the release or dis­charge of any tox­ic or haz­ardous sub­stance in con­nec­tion with any real prop­er­ty which is owned, leased, occu­pied or con­trolled by us. We have adopt­ed and abide by all the pro­posed fire safe­ty and fire extin­guish­ing net­work mea­sures, accord­ing to the applic­a­ble leg­is­la­tion, while we ensure the tech­ni­cal qual­i­ty, excel­lent con­di­tion and reli­able oper­a­tion of the safe­ty and con­trol sys­tems of any elec­tric instal­la­tion in our buildings.

We also ensure the strength, solid­i­ty, sta­bil­i­ty and, in gen­er­al, the struc­tur­al integri­ty and light­ning pro­tec­tion of all our instal­la­tions. ESG strategy

In an ini­tial work­shop, we first devel­oped core val­ues for our com­pa­ny. Our val­ues are based on busi­ness ethics, envi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion, social progress and pros­per­i­ty, qual­i­ty, inno­va­tion, high-end tech­nol­o­gy and exper­tise The devel­op­ment of an ESG strat­e­gy for DG is based on the require­ments of nation­al and inter­na­tion­al indus­try stan­dards and frame­works, such as DGNB, LEED and GRESB, and, on the oth­er hand, from gen­er­al sus­tain­abil­i­ty stan­dards, such as the Glob­al Report­ing Ini­tia­tive (GRI), the Sus­tain­abil­i­ty Account­ing Stan­dards Board (SASB) and the Sus­tain­able Devel­op­ment Goals. 

The list of top­ics was ulti­mate­ly sup­ple­ment­ed by spe­cif­ic indus­try require­ments of the micro areas in which DG oper­ates. The col­lec­tion of top­ics was clas­si­fied based on two dimen­sions “Rel­e­vance to busi­ness” and “Effects on thae envi­ron­ment and soci­ety”. The basic assess­ment is observed annu­al­ly in rela­tion to com­mon prac­tice, new tech­nolo­gies and com­mu­ni­ty needs and is adjust­ed accordingly.
